My Final Review of the Show

Overall, I think the show was a success. I did unfortunately lose my voice due to the concert I was involved in just before show week and that meant that I wasn't able to sing my songs with as much conviction as I would have hoped but I believe I managed to still hit the notes and keep emotion in my voice.

I'm extremely proud of how far I've come as a dancer especially in my Jazz Dance technique. When I started the process I could barley do a simple dance step and yet by the end of the show I had managed to be a core dancer in the foreground of most dances and not look out of place. I'm particularly proud of my dancing in Born to Handjive as this was very strenuous and took months to practice and look slick.

I feel like I managed to present Danny as  3 dimensional character instead of just the cool kid; I think a lot of this was due to the success of my non-verbal communication skills as a lot of the time the way I was represented to the audience was shown through my body language of posture. I really was pleased with the way Drive in Movie ended up looking like as it created the perfect atmosphere and direct contrast to when I sing Sandy and we were really struggling with this scene originally.

I thoroughly enjoyed playing Danny and performing in Grease and would love to be able to do so in the future. If I were to play Danny again I would make sure to figure out the relationships between characters much sooner as I feel this held back a lot of rehearsal time.
